By accessing character ai at charactere-ai.com you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site. - Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use character ai. - Description of the service
character ai provides fictional AI characters for conversational entertainment. The service is provided on an ongoing basis and its features may change over time. - Fictional characters
Every character on character ai is fictional. Names, biographies, locations and photographs are invented or computer generated and do not depict real people. - No professional advice
Conversations on character ai are entertainment. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or any other form of professional advice, and must not be relied on as such. - Emergencies
character ai is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is at risk, contact your local emergency number or a qualified crisis service immediately. - Your account
If you create an account you are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us of any unauthorised use. - Acceptable use
You agree not to use character ai for unlawful purposes, to harass others, to attempt to generate illegal material, or to interfere with the normal operation of the service. - Prohibited content
You may not submit content that is unlawful, that involves minors in any sexual context, that infringes the rights of others or that promotes violence or hatred. - Automated access
Scraping, crawling, mass downloading and any automated interaction with character ai without our written permission are not allowed. - Security testing
You may not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service, or bypass any security or authentication measure, without our prior written consent. - Your content
You keep ownership of the messages you write. You grant character ai a limited licence to process and store them for the purpose of operating the service. - Our intellectual property
The site design, text, character profiles, images, code and branding of character ai are protected by intellectual property law and remain our property or that of our licensors. - Limited licence to you
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access character ai for your own non-commercial use. - Third-party services
The service may rely on or link to third-party providers. Their terms apply to their services and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. - Fees and paid features
Basic access to character ai is free. Where paid features are offered, prices, billing intervals and renewal conditions are shown before purchase. - Refunds
Unless the law of your country requires otherwise, payments for digital features already delivered are non-refundable. Contact support if you believe a charge was made in error. - Cancellation by you
You may stop using character ai at any time and, where an account exists, request its deletion. Cancellation ends future billing but does not refund completed periods. - Suspension by us
We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where use harms other users or the service, or where required by law. - Availability
We aim to keep character ai available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates and technical faults may cause downtime. - Changes to the service

To the extent permitted by law, character ai is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill. - Maximum liability
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or fifty euros. - Indemnity
You agree to indemnify character ai against claims, damages and reasonable costs resulting from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms. - Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages, natural events, conflict or actions of public authorities. - Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, and disputes will be brought before the competent courts there, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise. - Severability and entire agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force. Together with the Privacy Policy these terms form the entire agreement between you and character ai. - Updates to these terms
